I AM HONORED TO LEAVE A REFLECTION FOR YOU TODAY, ALTHOUGH I WISH THAT I COULD KNOW THAT YOU ARE JUST ONE OF THE MANY OFFICERS OUT THERE THAT WATCH OVER US AND KEEP OF SAFE. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, I KNOW THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER OUT THERE FOR US. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS YOU SAVED, HELPED, AND STOPPED FROM HURTING OTHERS, AND FOR YOUR LONG AND DEDICATED SERVICE. YOU ARE A HERO SIR JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE. GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY, POLICE FAMILY AND ALL THOSE THAT LOVE YOU.

Another Officer has fallen, Lord, You must have had a very special reason for needing him now, which is unknown to us. Sergeant LeBow is now standing his watch in Your Kingdom. He watches and now protects ALL of us. God bless you Sergeant LeBow, and thank you for all your time of service and God bless your family for allowing you to serve. Dear Lord take care of him, for he is special and you now have another fine Officer.

THE NEWS OF YOUR DEATH HITS HOME...SO HARD. IT HAS NOT YET SUNK IN THAT YOU ARE REALLY GONE. I PRAY FOR YOUR FELLOW TROOPERS, FAMILY, AND FRIENDS THAT THEY WILL ALL FIND THE PEACE THAT CHRIST PROMISES US IN TIMES LIKE THESE. I HUNG A WREATH ON THE FRONT DOOR OF THE SHERIFFS OFFICE TODAY TO SHOW OUR SORROW AT THE PASSING OF A RESPECTED FELLOW OFFICER. I WILL MISS HEARING YOU LAUGH THAT LOUD, RESOUNDING LAUGH THAT ONLY YOU COULD DO. IT SEEMS LIKE I AM STILL IN SHOCK OVER THE DEATH OF ANOTHER AREA OFFICER FROM LESS THAN A YEAR AGO AND NOW THIS. I ACCOMPANIED THE SHERIFFS OFFICE CHAPLAIN TO YOUR HOME TODAY TO MEET WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. THERE WAS A NUMBER OF HIGH RANKING STATE OFFICERS, POLITICANS, AND OTHERS THERE FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT TO YOUR FAMILY. I HAD THE CHANCE TO SPEAK TO THE LOCAL MEDIA ABOUT WHAT A GREAT PERSON YOU WERE. I TOLD THEM ABOUT HOW YOU WERE "A MAN'S MAN" AND HOW YOU DID SO MUCH IN THE LITTLE LEAGUE SPORTS PROGRAM. I TOLD THEM ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU TALKED ABOUT YOUR BOYS AND HOW YOU TOOK SUCH PRIDE IN DRIVING THAT CAR WITH THE "BLUE STRIPE". I AM A BETTER DEPUTY BECAUSE OF THE TIMES WE SPENT IN CONVERSATION AND THE ACCIDENT SCENES WE WERE AT TOGETHER. I'M THANKFUL FOR THE KNOWLEDGE YOU SHARED WITH ME. I LOOK FORWARD TO ATTENDING YOUR FUNERAL SO THAT I CAN STAND WITH OTHER OFFICERS, DEPUTIES, AND TROOPERS TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR RESPECT FOR THE SACERFICE THAT YOU GAVE TO THE CITIZENS OF THIS STATE. PLEASE WATCH OVER US AS WE CONTINUE THE WORK THAT YOU HAVE STARTED, AND KEEP US SAVE IN OUR TASK.

Heaven gained another angel today,
God called him by name and led him away
You sit together, trying to make sense of the loss
and realize that life comes at a cost
You talk about the good times we've shared and try to smile
Remembering that we're here only for a short while

Rest in Peace Sgt. LeBow
