I rode in the LEU ride coming from Reading Pa, to Washington DC; just finishing this three day ride today, May 12, 2014. I carried a flag that one of Cpl Haynes kids' made at C.O.P.S. Kids camp. It was my honor to have it with me all three days. You are loved, missed and remembered by many for your sacrifice. Thank you. And to your family from a fellow survivor, may you one day find comfort knowing so many care.

My high school buddy, SCHP Academy roomie, housemate in O'Burg, and friend for life. I wouldn't trade any of the memories from growing up with you, the Academy, living together on Zion Church Rd. in O'burg together, or seeing you happy with Angie and the boys. Rest in Peace brother. To the Friends, family and peers of Lance Corporal James Haynes: I wanted to share with you that each police academy class that I teach up in Vermont includes a section on the dangers of the job. Since your tragic loss I've shared this event with every entry level Officers so they all understand the dangers on the road. I'm hopeful that James "Rock" Haynes is looking down upon us and smiles to know that of all the officers who could be highlighted, he is the one who helps protect our future officers. God Bless him and his family. Respectfully yours Sr. Sgt. Mike Roj VSP

...To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 corinthians 5:8.
My heart grieves everytime I think about my nephew,
James Darryl Haynes. He was a fun and loving child. He grew up to be a very responsible adult. Altough I greatly miss him, my heart rejoice when I think about how happy he was and what a great life he lived. He leaves behind a very fruitful legacy of memories.

Tp all the most gracious, loving, kind, thoughtful friends and foes who took the time to write such heartfelt reflections about my loving husband, I thank your from the bottom of my heart from myself, sons, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It has taken me this this long to work up the nerve to read these, and I must say that I could not help but cry my tears all over again. James "Rock" as he was known to many was one of a kind. He touched so many hearts and I learned that there were so many people that he met only once, and was totally smittened by by character. I will be forever grateful to you all and will do my best to read such loving comments.

Sincerely,

Angie Haynes

Today a little boy wanted to know what the letters on my shirt meant. His mother said sir, what does CAT stand for. I told her and she stated her son wanted to know. I told them where I worked and she stated her husband use to be a a trooper. She stated he died and told me who you were. I stated I knew of you and the look in your son's eyes was AWESOME. That young Man is PROUD of his daddy. He asked me "Do you know my daddy?' Just the look in your family's eyes. It affected me in a way you will never know. God speed.......
