Damn! Not again! This is the third trooper from the Peru Post to die since 2007. The last trooper to die was Trooper David Rich, who was killed 7/5/07. According to the news, Trooper Barrett graduated the academy 7/6/07, one day after Trooper Rich was killed.

I helped with parking at Tropper Rich's funeral and at that time ISP had all of the recent academy graduates helping with parking as well. I remember looking at those young pups and wondering if some of them could even shave yet.

God Bless the officers at Peru Post and God Bless his family. Remember.....be careful out there!
