Been years since I last seen you when I left the USN. I found out about your passing from a Facebook memorial post and was shocked to see you mr picture. Hope you’re still doing the Lord’s work in Heaven. ~Romans 13

I served onboard the Stennis with Matt. I still think about playing guitar , shooting at the range and riding around Southern California together. You’re one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Ill never forget you brother. May you Rest In Peace.

There isn't a day that goes by, I don't think about Matt. I struggled for almost 10 years with his passing. We had a disagreement a week before he passed, and I have wanted to tell him I was sorry since then. I finally got help to cope with his passing and I live today 10 years in the Air Force, doing what I do to honor Matt. To Matt: I am sorry for the disagreement we had. I miss you dearly and I know you are TwoSteppinInHeaven. Love you much brother. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

Every day. I walk into my office and stop to reflect on the photos of my friends and former students posted on my door, who have left us, while performing their duties. Matt was one of mine. I always insist my new students pay homage to Matt and the others on my door, to remind them this career is both rewarding and dangerous. Matt is the ultimate example of what a good man and officer is supposed to portray. He is missed. By myself and those of us who had the honor of knowing him. We had many, many, talks in my office.

I had the honor of meeting Officer Thebeau’s parents today and hearing of his service and sacrifice. The pride they have for their son reflected strongly. Thank you Officer Thebeau and rest easy my brother.

I served onboard the Stennis with Matt, or T-bo as we all called him. I just found out he had passed. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved Matt. In life its so rare to meet someone who was truly a great person, and he was!! Although I had lost touch with him since our Navy days, I'll always remember him. May you rest easy in the arms of the Lord my friend.

A few months after his death, Matt came to me in a dream and gave me advice which has changed the course of my life. Even in his death Matt is still making an impact. I love and miss him so deeply.

I pray for police officers, firemen and military everyday. I never know who I am praying for; all those serving nations at peace and at war, under sieige of violence or quietness of rural streets, those not knowing what they will find behind the closed door when responding to a domestic violence call and those in the thick of the pursuit. My prayer is alwasy the same, God protect those who serve our nation in these ways. And if today they meet You face to face, cradle their loved ones left behind in Your arms. Grant them peace until the day Your precious child will be joined in joy once more with family and friends.

Thinking of you and your family today. Continue to watch over them as I know they love and miss you with all their heart.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. As I read the refections of your co-workers , I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you.

Rest In Peace.

3 years. I really can't believe it has been 3 years. Sometimes I still can't believe you are gone. I'm sure that you are privy to all of the good that you are still doing for people. What a legacy! I love you dear brother and miss you everyday.
