To the Shiver family,
I am so sorry about your lost. My husband worked for the Norfolk Police Dept. and was killed in Oct. 2005. We had two children age 5 and 1 at that time. I am praying for your family. God will give you the strength that you need. Just ask Him to comfort you during this time and he will. If you ever need anything or just someone to talk to that understands what you are going through please don't hestitate to contact me.

I didnt know you but I work in the city right next to you and it is very sad thing to hear when a brother in Blue gets shot let alone killed in the line on duty. God bless you for your years of service to the city of Chesapeake, and god bless your wife and 3 kids, and also the Officers that you worked with every day. We have the watch from hear brother.

It was a pleasure serving with you and knowing you. I wish there was something that I could have done and not felt so helpless and useless. Even now I feel the same. I will never forget that night or you. We will all do our best to make sure your family is taken care of. Thanks for your great service.
