You are a Peace Maker and true HERO. You made the ultimate sacrifice. You gave your life to protect others. You will never be forgotten for such bravery. I will pray for your family, but they will never be the same. This is coming from someone that knows and someone that feels your families pain.

Yet once again the Thin Blue Line is diminished, an officer's final tour of duty is finished. "Officer Down", is our greatest fear, and once again I hold back a tear.

For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if u do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13;4 Ricky, u were my student and a great one through the Academy, and u turned into such a great Officer, you will never be forgotton. Rest easy my Brother in Blue we will continue the good fight, picking up where u left off. God bless you and your family.

Its painful to lay in bed at night knowing you two great officers are not coming home. I have close ties with the guys who work south pct and I sit and listen to what you all go through. Thank you for trying to make South DeKalb a better place to live. I know the pain your families are going through and I share their pain. God will heal all in time. You guys will be missed.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Bryant, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

"…They were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
