Reflections for Police Officer Ricky L. Bryant, Jr.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Officer Ricky Bryant Jr. Everyday we as officer know what we can run into during our course of duty. It is not for the money, it is for what we feel in our hearts to do for people. I want the family to know that time will heal.

I'll be on the tarmac tomorrow when you arrive home, standing shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of brother and sister officers. Brother Ricky... I remember the days while your were in the Academy as your mustered and stood ready for inspection. How you as a squad leader, encouraged everyone to do their best....I even remember the brief conversation we had, as you hurried to your class a few weeks from graduation..How excited you were to "finally" get to serve....I will carry your memory everyday as I go 10-41 and 10-42 each day, to keep your memory alive.....

Rest in peace my brother, for GOD has you standing guard and watching over us who are still left on the thin blue line.....RIP

Two years and gone too soon. You and your partner were far too young to leave us. You both remain forever in the hearts and minds of your families and those who had the privilege of calling you friend, colleague, neighbor. No one will ever forget and you will live on forever.
