Granddad I went to Washington DC and saw your name and I broke down in tears but my 7 year old Granddaugther was there to hug me. You would have been proud of her she is such a trooper. I am proud of you and wish we could have meet and shared the love my Grandkids show to me. Proud of you and what you stood for. I will be attending a memorial tommorow in your honor and I will allways think of your sacrifice Love Your Grandson Joe

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 94th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
