Our current Chief of Police is Samuel Williams who spent most of his career in Law Enforcment in Miami. So we feel a
bit closer to officers from that area.

It is alway a sad occasion to see a fellow officer fall in the line of duty, especially a young officer. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and co-workers and all who are affected by this tragic loss. He is indeed a HERO who gave his life doing what he believed in. I lost a son about his age 10 years ago and so I can somewhat share the loss his family and friends feel. This young man stands as a symbol of those who uphold the law and fight for our freedoms like our young men and women in the military. May he always be remembered with the highet regard.

I am a recruit at Valencia & on the first day of class on January 7,2008 we went over policy, rules & regulations, but there was one thing that our coordinator told us that he wanted us to do every day. That was to check the O.D.M.P. Some of us failed to do so & we paid the price for that, but since then I myself have not been able to stop thinking of Detective James Walker. My heart goes out to to Det.J.Walker & his family. MAY GOD BLESS HIM & ALL OF OUR FALLEN HEROS. AMEN
