Reflections for Police Officer Christopher Nicholson

Yet another fellow sheepdog has been lost now...

i had the honor of meeting you a few times,
a witness to your professionalism and your candor,
but this can only be a scratch at the surface
of your being, of who you were. i can only wonder
now and marvel at the many lives, you most certainly
affected, (to include mine), but probably never realized.

Our town has lost a hero, but gained an Angel.
My prayers and family's prayers go out to your
family for peace and solace. I pray you are in
paradise now with our Lord and your family take
comfort in that knowledge even as you watch over
them, (and us) from above.

Rest in Peace Brother.

It's foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Rest in peace, Officer Nicholson. You are a true hero who will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service

The Dash" by Alton Maiden

"I've seen death stare at me with my own eyes in a way that many cannot know.
I've seen death take others but still left me below.
I've heard many scream of mother's ry, but death refuses to hear.
In my life I've seen faces fill with many tears.
After death has come and gone a tombstone sits for many to see.
But it is no more than a person's memory.
I've seen my share of tombstones but never took the time to truly read.
The meaning behind what is there for others to see
Under the person's name it read that date of birth, dash, and the date the person passed
But the more I think about the tombstone, the important thing is the dash
Yes, I see the name of the person but that I might forget
I also read the date if birth and death but even that might not stick
But thinking about the individual I can't help but to remember the dash, because it represents a person's life and that will always last. So when you begin to charter your life make sure your on a positive path
Because people may forgot your birth and death, but they will never forget your dash."

Our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends and co-workers of Trooper Linn. WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR DASH.

Your committment will never be forgotten!!!!!
