I regret the loss of such a brave man. We pray for Eric's family, his fellow officers and co-workers and his friends. May God Bless you all.

A HERO

He is a hero we didn’t know
Yet he dwelt in our hearts
Knowing he was there
Yet worlds apart;

He is a hero we didn’t know
But still we called him friend
Knowing he would be there
Yet til the very end;

He is a hero we didn’t know
Yet a “thank you” to hear
Knowing he would be there
Regardless of his own fear;

He is a hero we didn’t know
Til the loss we face
Knowing he was there
In his honor and his grace.

He is a hero we now know
Just a short distance away
Knowing he is there
Now always to stay.

Eric-
I will never forget how happy you were to get into the police academy and to get hired at HPD. You never failed to tell me how much you loved being a police officer. The only thing you loved more was your wife and children. You will be missed by so many people who were blesed to call you friend. May you rest in peace May God bless and comfort your family.

I can not believe that this has happened again. My heart, sympathy, and love go out to Officer Freeman's family. Our family knows all to well what they are going through and what they will be going through. You are a hero, and your sacrifice and duty will not be forgotten. All of us in Southern Tennessee and Northern Alabama are wondering how can something this senseless happen again. I believe with all my heart that Daniel was there to welcome you into Heaven's gate. God bless you and your family, and please, tell Daniel that we love him and miss him.
