This is a sad time for the friends and families of D/S Wallace and D/S Manuel of the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office. Even though I did not know these officers I did know the family of D/S Wallace. I also knew others officers that were involved in the call that night.

It doesn’t matter if we knew them, but the important thing is they laid their life down for the community in which they served. People just take things for credit, but there is a lot of things officers give up to protect their communities.

It really hits home when you are from that area. Not only was I born there, I worked in law enforcement there. The officers of the glades area are a close nit family, and they have lost a big part of that family. Our prayers go out to the family and friends of the fallen officers and the other officers involved in the call that night.

Donta I can hardly believe I'm sitting here and trying to wrap my mind around the fact that God has truly received an angel in heaven. I was truly blessed to have worked with you in the Glades and Pahokee and even years before that when we would be out at the gun range and at D.T.'s!Everyone always wanted to be your partner! You were and always will be a "GIANT" of a man in my eyes! May god bless you and your family.
