Mark,

Tomorrow thousands will gather in your honor, to praise the life you lived, and grieve the life we lost. Many will say their goodbyes to a true hero, son, brother, father, husband and friend. I will meet you for the first time. I'm so sorry we meet this way brother. However brief our time together, I will take it with me, as a keepsake that nothing is forever. You remind us all to live the time we have here to its fullest, and do the best we can each and every moment. You were doing YOUR best when God called you home. Thank you for living that lesson Mark. You may be gone... but you will NEVER be forgotten.

Thank you for your service to your agency and your community. A few years ago, I chased a suspect on foot and we crossed a busy highway and I was nearly hit by a couple of cars. You made a courageous sacrifice, and thanks again for your dedication!
