Oh Mark, how painful to say good-bye. You are a great cop. Your work ethic, courage, fierce determination and excellent judgement made working with you so incredible. Even if work was 'bad' it was 'good' when working with you. The best was the busy shifts, part-time, long conversations and the laughs.

Being your friend was even better. Camping, cookouts, shooting, walking the dogs, just hanging out on the patio were always a joy. Teaching my boys to hunt was a gift of your time that will always be cherished by Kevin,Ian and me.

When we first met I knew I wanted to be your friend because of your compassionate heart. My boys and I have been so lucky to call you friend, (and Uncle Buck!) Your wicked sense of humor sent all of us into uncontrollable laughter.

Andi and Nicholas are such a wonderful extension of you. Andi has been both strong and compassionate while experiencing a grief we can't know unless we have been there ourselves. You would be so proud of her. Nicholas is the spitting image of you in looks, temperament and that million watt smile!

"Friends are the family you choose for yourself." I have been honored to have worked with you but even more so to be your friend. Kevin, Ian and I love and miss you so much.
I look forward to the day when we will meet again in paradise. Till then we will always care for Andi and Nick.

I love you Mark,
Anne

Hello. I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I just lost my husband who was a WV State Trooper last week. I know there are no words that can help you right now, but just know I am thinking of your family and God will help you through this. Surround yourself with friends and family and let them help as much as they can. I wish I was there to give you a hug:) God Bless your husband as well as you. You will be in my prayers.
