I had the pleasure of working with Paul while a Detention Deputy. He was a very well respected person on and off the job. When I transferred to road patrol we rarely saw each other, but when our paths crossed, it was like we had seen each other yesterday. I will surely miss his conversations in the sally port. Rest in peace my brother.

Please forward my condolences and deepest sympathy to Deputy Rein's son and family. My goodness, you cannot get anymore committment and sacrifice from an officer who put in more than his fair share of time and risk. A rare jewel, indeed. RIP....

Sincerely,
