Reflections for Officer Sergio Carrera

Officer Carrera, I want to thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. It is always tragic when one of the good guys get taken out by one of the bad guys. It is even worse when the good guy is so young and leaves behind a young family. You are a true hero that we will never forget. I will pray that God will give much grace to all the family at this time. Thank you Rialto PD for all you do. I will pray for you as you continue your watch. Romans 13:4!

I know of no words that will suffice. No words that are adequate. I would just like for the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Sergio Carrera to know there are folks all across this country that will lift you up in prayer before the Almighty.
May you each experience the eternal love and endless blessings of our Lord and Savior in the coming days.

Officer Carrera
Thank you for your service, rest in peace my brother. Watch over the rest of us from your heavenly perch.

To the Family of Officer Sergio Carrera
Your complete family are in my families prayers and god bless you. This is a dark time, but there is light at end of this tunnel and your heart will heal. My family is just starting to make it thru it with the death of my future son in-law Josh Norris (EOW Jul 5th 2007). I know you can not see pass the grief right now or believe you could have shed some may tears. What has helped my family and may help yours, remember your love ones laugh, his smile and all those things that are unique to him, since they are truly what made him. Sergio will always be with you, that gentle wind that dries your tears, that warm feel of an embrace when no one is near is his way of helping you heal.

To Rialto Police Department
My brothers this lost will always be felt at roll call, on the road or just talking at a break. For those that were on the scene, understand that nothing you did or things you felt you should have done would have changed this out come, God had called Sergio. Like all of us that wear a badge, he knew the risk and like yourself served regardless, mourn your brother, but also dedicate your service in his name by being the best you possible can. Your Department is in my prayers

"A coward turns away, but a brave man's choice is danger."

While this quote describes all law enforcement, it is particularly appropriate here. This warrior ran to the sounds of battle while others ran away. He is a true hero and I salute him for his life and honor him for his sacrifice.
