God Bless, In your good hands now rest in peace. You will be greatly missed by your family and friends.

Sergio, you were not just my co-worker but my friend. I will miss you everyday but know that I was honored to have known you and to have worked side by side with you. I could always count on you calling me "CMAC" and making me laugh as you joked about anyone and everyone in your path, including your best friend Lamont. Your infectious laugh and suave demeanor made us love you even more. Even though you will be missed, you are now Rialto Police Department's Guardian Angel.

RIP,

Carla McCullough (CMAC)

It is the most difficult duty standing on the line between evil and good, and as LTC Dave Grossman says, you - Officer Sergio Carrera - were a sheepdog protecting your flock, willing to die if necessary to keep the wolves away.
Thank you for being that sheepdog.
My SWAT team and I will keep you, your family and your department in our prayers.

Today I had to leave you
I dont know exactly why
I only know I wish I was there to comfort you,
as I sit and watch you cry
This place i'm in is different
much different than before,
I wish it was you that I last saw,
as I walked through that door
I cannot see it coming,
something has blocked my sight
but as this bullet hits me,
I am blinded by a light
You dont have to pretend I'm here,
you see the difference in my eyes,
cut this machine off me now,
for I am deprived of my life
I want to be there with you,
but I have made my choice
I scream out my words to you,
but you dont hear my voice
On the morning when your life is over,
I know you'll see my face,
for I'll be among the Angels,
when you enter through the gates
I can hear the words so scream,
as we say our last goodbye,
you ask me why I had to leave,
but I can't tell you why
now and forever I'll miss you,
now and forever I'll cry
reminice about the past,
forever cherish my life
let your spirit go with mine as one,
let our memories fly free
for I will not be with you,
but you'll always remember me
I can't be with you now,
so rest your weary head
remember me as you go on,
to walk the path I tread

God Bless you and your family Officer Sergio Carrera

To the family of a fallen brother, I offer my deepiest thoughts and greatiest prayers for your loss. It is always a tragic and mornful time when an Officer such as he, who is putting his life on the line for a good cause, loses the fight to a person who has only the soul purpose to destroy. We are all brothers and sisters, we are family, and we are all soldiers and servants for God fighting to preserve safe communities, peace, and life. Our fallen Brother will be missed, but it is up to us left behind to fight in his honor. God bless you brother, and it has been an honor to be on your side.
