I really enjoyed my time with David at the Law Enforcement Academy. He was as nice of a person as could be. He really did have a spark in his eye, and he really was proud to be a Trooper. Mrs. Graham if you or your children ever need anything please feel free to call. God bless you and your children. You should always be proud of David, he was a great person.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Trooper Graham and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Trooper Graham has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family, friends, and colleagues of Trooper Graham, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Trooper Graham is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

For those who pledge to uphold it, Freedom requires a sacrifice the protected will never know.

To David's Family you have our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy from myself and my family.

I had the opportunity to teach David while he attended the academy. He was quiet, confident, polite and very professional. He truly set the standard and was an example of what a Trooper should be.

Just a short time ago I had the pleasure of sitting and talking with David a couple of evenings. He will be missed by those who knew him and will always be remembered

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

I was amazed by the amount of people and peace officers, as well as the distances they traveled to honor you and show their compassion to your family today. Just from the few times we met and what I've heard of you in the past few days I can say that a man of such courage and selflessness deserves no less. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and all those who grieve your loss.

My deepest sympathy goes out to your wife, 3 children, family, friends, and entire department. You gave the ultimate sacrifice and will not be forgotten. I know angel wings carried you far into the heavens above, where as you will be 10-4 forever more in the loving arms of God, "A Hero does not become a Hero by their death, but by how they lived their life." God Bless!
