Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper David A. Graham

"If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." -- Maya Angelou

Aloha Trooper David A. Graham,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.

I believe in the ODMP and Police*Link that visionary and Founder Chris Cosgriff created. There is power in the written and spoken word, in prayer, in what is felt in the heart, and in the soul. Every tribute left in honor for a fallen officer, is a candle lit. Every candle lit, lights another.

Every light represents a reflection left by an individual in the form of a tribute which is and always will be, very personal and special to the fallen hero it was left to honor, and to thousands who will read it. Here we are able to come together and build a quilt for our fallen hero. A quilt built from people who share from their hearts in reflections; tributes.

Trooper David A. Graham,
I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers peace and love beyond all understanding. Aloha.

**May all who read this tribute find comfort in this Hawaiian prayer left in this hero's honor. You will NEVER be forgotten. May God allow you to rest in His eternal peace.**

THE PEACE OF " I "
KA MALUHIA O KA "I"

Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,

The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".
Ka Maluhia o ka "I", owau no ka Maluhia,

The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.
Ka Maluhia no na wa a pau, no ke'ia wa a mau a mau loa aku.

My Peace " I " give to you, My Peace " I " leave with you,
Ha'awi aku wau I ku'u Maluhia ia oe, waiho aku wau I ku'u Maluhia me oe,

Not the world's Peace, but, only My Peace,
The Peace of " I ".

A'ole ka Maluhia o ke ao aka, ka'u Maluhia wale no,
Ka Maluhia o ka "I".

To the wife...and children...parents...extended family... friends...and fellow officers who served with Trooper Graham...I offer my heartfelt condolences.

Whenever I come to the ODMP...it always saddens me...to learn that another young family...has again...lost a husband and father...in such tragic and untimely circumstances.

I pray that God will send His graces...to sustain this family...as they continue on...without their loved ones physical presence...and that in time...they will know and feel...spiritually...that he is near to them...as they carry him...forever...in their hearts and memories.

May God's perpetual light...shine upon the soul of Trooper David A. Graham...and may he rest...in His eternal peace...for having made the ultimate sacrifice...in protecting and serving his community.

God's blessings on each of you.

With my deepest sympathy.
