I knew Deputy Norling as a younger brother to one of my best friend's, Sgt. Ty Norling, nearly 24 years ago. I recently was reunited with Ty through email and was very proud that Jason had chosen to serve as a profession. Ty was very proud of his brother as he mentioned several times. Jason will be missed as he has made the ultimate sacrifice for any Peace Officer. My prayers go out to his wife and surviving family members.
