Reflections for Corporal Abel Marquez

I was devastated to hear the news that you had passed, but I know that you are in heaven and no longer in pain. I pray for your family and wish that I could do more for them. God Bless you as you enter his kingdom of heaven, with your fellow fallen Officers Jones and Gardner.

I can only imagine what the citizens and PO's are feeling in Odessa. Losing one Officer is bad enough, but three? My heart goes out to you all. To the families and friends of those brave Officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice, I hope you take comfort in knowing that they will FOREVER be heros and will NEVER, NEVER be forgotten! God Bless you all. To Corporal Marquez: Until one day in Heaven we meet, keep walking your beat on the Golden Street looking after your brothers & sister on earth.

Although we never met, I feel I knew these officers. I cannot begin to know what their families must be experiencing now, but I can tell them my heart and my prayers are with them. I do my job as a Police Patrolman today with a heavy heart. I have a strong faith that I will finally get to meet them when we all answer roll call with the CHIEF in Heaven. I know he must have needed some great officers, so he picked 3 "brothers" to lead the way. I am proud to serve when men of this caliber are serving with me. Thanks guys. The THIN BLUE LINE IS A LITTLE THINNER TODAY, BUT IT STILL HOLDS. We'll never forget what you gave.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT THESE OFFICERS WERE KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY PROTECTING THE CITIZENS OF ODESSA DUE TO A DOMESTIC DISPUTE. THESE MEN ARE FOR CERTAIN 100% HEROES AND DESERVE THE RESPECT OF ALL ODESSA CITIZENS TO BE THANKFUL FOR THE DANGER THAT THESE OFFICERS PUT THEMSELVES ON THE LINE FOR EVERYDAY JUST FOR OUR SAFETY.
TO CPL ABEL MARQUEZ' FAMILY AND FRIENDS YOU HAVE MY FAMILIES DEEPEST CONDOLENCES AND HEARTFELT SINCERITY KNOWING THAT HE WAS ONLY ONE OF THE MANY OFFICERS THAT ARE UNFORTUNETLY KILLED IN SUCH A TRAGIC MANOR.
WE HERE IN ODESSA SALUTE YOU AND CPL MARQUEZ FOR ALL HIS HARD WORK AND MAY GOD BE WITH YOU DURING THIS TIME AND IN THE FUTURE. CPL MARQUEZ IS STILL LOOKING OUT FOR ALL OF US , BUT AS A ANGEL NOW. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!

What terrible grief your family and your department must be going through losing three members all at once. I can only hope that the murdering coward responsible will not spend the next 20 years on death row stalling his inevitable fate. Hopefully justice will come swiftly. Vaya con Dios Corporal Marquez. Y que Dios lo bendiga.
