All this because some idiot thought it would be fun to out run the police. When will they ever learn!?!?

Chief Richard, thank you for your service. Neither you, nor your sacrifice, will ever be forgotten. Watch over your family as they begin this long, dark journey without you.

Watch over your brothers and sisters in uniform as well.

Rest in peace.

Dear Family, Friends and Co-Workers of Police Chief Richard,

As a survivor, each EOW notice hurts no matter who it is or where they are from. You still feel the same pain and emptiness. We are so sorry for your loss and your family will be in our prayers through this difficult time of your fresh grief. May you find a small measure of comfort in knowing there are many people who care and understand. May the wonderful memories you have together carry you through this time of sadness and tragedy.

Chief Richard, during your tour of duty you have served your community and state with honor and dignity, we will carry on from here. To the family of Chief Richard you all are our thoughts and prayers. You all are now part of a much larger family that will be by your side always. To the men and women of the Port Barre Police Department hold your heads high as you all carry on during these difficult times. Chief your actions speak volumes of the type of cop you were, you where out on the street with your troops doing "real police work". It would have been my honor to have worked for you.
