Trooper Russell, I am deeply grieved to hear of your loss of life at the hands of such a reckless and arrogant murderer. But I am deeply grateful for your many years of selfless service and your costly ultimate sacrifice. You, Trooper are a hero and I will not forget. To everyone involved in catching this Trooper's murderer, thank you ever so much. To Mrs. Russell, you have my deepest sympathies and prayers. To all CHP Troopers, you have my prayers as well as my deepest thanks and appreciation for all you do. I will pray for you as you continue your patrol. Romans 13:4!
