Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Robert Anthony Kozminski

Chief Dolan spoke of you today, as we were attending a seminar on domestic violence and attacks on officers. I could tell that your death affected him profoundly. Seeing your picture and hearing your story brings it close to home. The fact that you passed on my birthday brings it even closer for me. You will always be remembered down here in N.C. Take Care.

I can't believe it has been 3 yrs. Still remeber the last time I saw you. Tossed you a water after your favorite overtime order in (FIREWORKS). Never go a day without thinking of you or your family. I saw your daughter yesterday, she is so big and is so proud of you. Miss you brother.

I will never forget.

It has been 3 years to the day since you went to Serve and Protect the streets of Gold. Remembering you on your EOW anniversary. You are a true Hero is EVERY sense of the word. Thank you so much for your service to the people of Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. You are thought of often and missed. I know that you were welcomed to the Big Department in Heaven by my friend Shane Britton EOW 07-19-2000...still can't believe that it's been almost 10 years since he left us and 3 for you.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Kozminski you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you all continue to hold him close in your hearts! By the many, many posts left here I can tell that he was a great Officer and person! He will live on in your hearts forever! Praying that the days have gotten easier for all of you.

The recent death of Jackson Police Officer James Bonneau renews the memory and pain of your courageous passing in all of our hearts. Just as they said at his funeral a few days ago, WE STILL HAVE THE WATCH. We are carrying on for you!

Another officer died from the hand of another a few days ago in AZ. These continued acts of violence sadden me. I am going into law enforcement and it scares me that this continues. I think about you often and will never forget your sacrifice.
