Reflections for Police Officer Dayle Weston "Wes" Hardy

It takes a very special man, with extraordinary courage and skill to climb on a motor and hit the street. Those of us who ride do so because we love riding. It is a bonus being able to serve, to make our communities safer for all, along with that passion for two-wheels and a motor. To the family and friends of Officer Hardy, I encourage you to look skyward. Though he has fallen in the line of duty, he has earned those golden wings. Every time you hear thunder, know that Wes rides again.

Officer Hardy, thank you for your service. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. To your wife and children, my prayers are with you. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to get you through this terrible tragedy. I am so sorry for your great loss. I know it's hard but try to be strong for your children. It's hard for me sometimes also but we have to do it. They need us now more than ever. God bless you and your family.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Hardy, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

I am always so saddened by the death of another officer in the line of duty. Since my own brother died just over a month ago, I have been to this site many times. Today, I felt strong enough to reach out to others suffering the same grief as I am. Your officer's story touch me so deeply because he leaves behind two precious children. Please know that I will pray for your little ones and yourself each night that you may find the peace and courage to stay the course.

Happy Birthday Wes, I allways looked forward to us sparring over your "Aggies" and my "Sooners". Those were good times Brother that will not be forgotten.

Ashlee- Im sure you won't recall but I first met you at MCP. Your co worker was in an accident and broke her leg. You were so kind and insisted on doing anything possible you could. Please know that any need you have no matter how big or small your Plano family is allways here for you.
