I remember seeing the scene and praying for God's grace. God provided His grace on you and we know your riding those streets of gold. You are missed by so many including your family.

Was a very tough year buddy as you could see. Moving your bike was such an honor, and I was so proud to see your brothers and sisters from Plano, and so many other agencies help that day. Your girls are getting so big. And becoming wonderful young women. Ashlee is doing gods work with COPS, and you will never be forgotten. I’ll always cherish the last moments we “talked” that day. And I meant every word I said. I’ll always be here for your family. See ya down the road Wes. We’ll never forget.

Officer Wes,

Because of the family you had, the good will that your wife has brought to us while we are in the beginning stages of our loss, I could NEVER repay you for the ultimate gift you gave.

I am a mom of Fallen BPA Barraza E.O.W. 4-18-16.

Ashlee has such a wonderful way with people, no wonder why you picked her. She and the others of C.O.P.S didn’t blink an eye at accepting us as a part of the family we didn’t ask for, but one I couldn’t do without.

She and the others made sure we were taken care of for the last year.

You see when a mom looses her son or any child, the pain is horrific and you’d like to check out just to be with them. But Ashlee saved my life by introducing our family to the hands on programs that COPS has to offer.

Your girls are beautiful and I know you’re proud of all of them.

Take care of my son Joey and whenever we meet, if you haven’t met my son, I’ll bring him to you to meet.

Enjoy your wings, you are truly blessed.

Mother of BPA Jose “Joey” D. Barraza E.O.W. 4-18-16

Thinking of you, Ashlee & the girls today. My heart is just heavy for her and you have been on my mind all day. You were here to give me advice when my career was just starting and now I need your advice and I keep praying to you, waiting for a sign to know which way I should go. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.

Dear Sir, it's an honor to be touched by your heroism. Even today you are still affecting lives in a positive way. Because it is through the courage & sacrifice you, your loved ones & your brothers & sisters in blue give, that I gain my courage & promise to dedicate my life teaching others through my example to love honor & respect our protectors. You see, I understand fully that we civilians also lose when the one who goes away is a blue.

Thinking about you today buddy...reflecting on the many fishing trips we took down to Port O'Conner Texas in July. We complained about the heat every time, but kept going year after year. We saw so many marlins hoisted in the air down there on the dock! We miss you Wes!

Just remembered it was 14yrs ago today when you and Ash got married. We were talking about it this morning and she reminded me how stressed she was about my hat and boots not matching yours for the wedding! That made me laugh remembering the look on her face, but also made me sad. I look at my boys and I am saddened knowing you are not here in person to watch your girls growup.

You were taken too soon and are still missed very much brother.Thank you for being such a great friend and a better person.
