The family of this Patrolman want to thank ODMP and all the people who have posted on this page. Robert was a Scottish immigrant who arrived at age 8 with my Great Grandmother, his sister. They were both service oriented in careers, and I am so greatful for their example.

He was so young, he never married or had children, so from this offshoot of the Black family, Thank You.

Patrolman Black, though many years have passed since your murder, you have not been forgotten. I'm only sorry that the end results for your killer are not available here. I can only hope he found true justice for his deeds, if not in this life, then in the next.
