Your heroism and service is honored today, the 133rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

even though I have worked Polk county for many years, I have never heard of this. Thank you for giving your life to make my home a better place. An officer's job is never done, we just pass it to others willing to give.

Deputy Sheriff Hilton,
It has taken over 102 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Polk County. I think it was a travesty of justice that your murderer only served 14 years.

R.I.P.
