Reflections for Officer Frank Charles Denzinger

I called the Volusia County Sheriff's Office this morning and told them of the tragic death of Officer Frank Denzinger hoping that it might ease some of the burden this Officer is and will carry with him for the rest of his life. I truly pray that it may help. God Bless him, and the family of Officer Frank Denzinger. You are always in our hearts and prayers. Thank you.

I can't beleive we are coming up on your 6 year anniversary. Standing in the living room seeing your picture on TV... i thought to mysefl way to go Frank...wondering what wonderful things you may have done...to my shock and dropping my plate down the front of my 7 month baby bump as it hit the floor and i stood motionless. I know your family feels the sorrow and the pain every day of a wonderful person no longer here...but I know your "watch" for them will never end. Thank you for making an impact on so many!!!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 5th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both their pain and pride are forever.

Its been awhile since I have been on here....Im watching our daughter get an outfit together for tomorrow. We are going to a ceremony at HCSO for police week and she has to have the perfect blue headband. Moments like these make me miss you so much. I wish you could see her how much she has grown, how much she looks like you. How proud she is of you

For training purposes, I was listening to all the radio traffic from that awful day, as it was being transferred to another media. Hearing your voice again even so briefly gave me goosebumps and reminded me how much I miss you, Frank still to this day. I know he has been here, I have felt him here with us from time to time. And I see his picture every single day here at work. We have picked up, carried on, and do what we call come in to do. But never, NEVER will you leave my heart, mind, or reflection. I hope your rest is well, until we meet again my friend.

As we enter into another June, its seams like just yesterday this horrific event occurred. It also seams like such a short time ago we were both working at Floyd County. I reflect on seeing you at the Jail when you were a corrections office, and of course on the range. Frank, I try to make something good from this, and use the dispatch tape in some of my training classes from time to time. There is not a day that goes by that I do not touch your memorial magnet ribbon on my patrol vehicle when I start my shift. Frank, your service, professionalism, caring for others and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Tonight I think of you and remember fondly not just the officer you were but the human. Titles only go so far and aside from officer, father or husband you were the best man I have ever come to know. I miss your quick wit, the gentleness you provided, the safety of your arms and the example of what a person should strive to be in this adventure we call life. May you know not a day, an hour or a minute pass to which you are not in my thoughts. I shall forever be missing you and look forward to our reunion. With all my love,
Tara
