Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Chief of Police Randy Lacy

+Rest in Peace Chief+

Thank you for your many years of service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and co-workers. It does not matter what the rank is of an officer who is taken from us, it hurts just the same because we are all brothers and sisters of the badge.
Chief, The men and women that served under you will now walk you to your place of rest...look down on them and your family from heaven and wrap your wings of blue around them and help them through this terrible and dark time. I know that God will take you, your family and co-workers into his heart and help you through this. God has a special place in heaven for those men and women that place themselves between the good and evil in this world... and he watches over the ones we leave behind.
+ Rest Now My Brother For Your Watch Has Ended..We Will Take It From Here. +

I never dreamed it would be me
My name for all eternity
Recorded here at this hallowed place
Alas, my name, no more my face

"In the line of duty" I hear them say
My family now the price will pay
My folded flag stained with their tears
We only had those few short years

The badge no longer on my chest
I sleep now in eternal rest
My sword I pass to those behind
And pray they keep this thought in mind

I never dreamed it would be me
And with heavy heart and bended knee
I ask for all here from the past
Dear God, let my name be the last
(Author unknown)

God bless all the men and women in blue

Chief, God Bless You Sir...You served with valiancy and dedication. Once again the justice system has failed all of us who serve our citizens. This killer seriously injured another officer in the past and was given a slap on the wrist. If he had been sentenced to 20 years in prison, Chief Lacy would be here today.

God will give him the proper sentence and it wont be in the peaceful and happy place you are today. My prayers and condolences to the Lacy family, and the community of Clay City Kentucky. You have lost a "True Hero"
