Jason,

I still cannot believe I am here today making arrangements for your funeral. It feels like only yesterday we were back in school having the time of our lives without a worry in the world. We all know the risks we take everyday we put the uniform on and go to work, we just hope tradegy will never strike close to home and today it has. You sacrificed your life doing what you loved to do and protecting those that gave no appreciation for the sacrifices that you made. Rest in peace as your shift on earth is done, we will take it from here. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and your brothers and sisters with the Cleveland Heights Police Department. You may be lost, but you will never be forgotten.

Avon Police

Rest in peace my brother. We respond to loud party calls day and day out. And then someone does somthing so foolish to one of us that is there to keep the peace. Well I have never met you but I know you by doing the same job and it could have been me or any other officer. We never know what can happen when we respond to calls. My heart goes out to your family, but keep in mind you are a hero in my eyes and others because who else would go to these calls but people like us and risk our lives for everyones safety. Rest in peace my brother.
