You will be remembered forever now that your name is on the memorial wall in Washington. The stories I heard about you when I was a kid I will never forget. You were well respected by the community and loved by your family. I salute you, great grandfather, and all of our fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend. RIP B.B. Schmitt.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.
