YESTERDAY IS HISTORY, TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY AND TODAY IS A GIFT.

CORPORAL McKAY, YOU REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. I SALUTE YOU! MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. YOU DID NOT LOSE YOUR LIFE, YOU GAVE IT IN SERVICE TO OTHERS. A TRUE HERO INDEED.

THOSE CLOSE TO THIS HERO, PLEASE TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT I, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS ACROSS THIS LAND, GRIEVE WITH YOU. KEEP HIM IN YOUR HEART, AND PASS HIS STORY ALONG. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.

GOD BLESS THE HERO CITIZEN WHO CAME TO THIS OFFICERS AID. HE COULD HAVE KEPT ON GOING, BUT HE SAW A POLICE OFFICER IN TROUBLE AND HELPED. YOU SIR, ARE NOTHING LESS THAN A HERO. WHEN HE WOULDN'T FOLLOW YOUR COMMAND TO DROP HIS WEAPON, YOU TOOK THE PROPER ACTION. JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED. WE THANK YOU.

THIS IS SO TERRIBLE IT IS HARD TO GRASP. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF CORPORAL BRUCE McKAY. THOUGH CORPORAL McKAY DID NOT SURVIVE THIS HORRIFIC ATTACK, IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE WAS THERE THAT CARED ENOUGH TO GET INVOLVED AND BE WITH HIM IN HIS FINAL MOMENTS. THANKS CORPORAL McKAY FOR YOUR SERVICE AND THANK YOU TO THE UNKNOWN CITIZEN WHO RISKED THEIR LIFE TO SAVE HIS. EVEN WE AS PROTECTORS NEED PROTECTED AND NOW CORPORAL McKAY WILL BE LOOKING DOWN PROTECTING ALL OF US.

Bruce you will be missed dearly by all your class mates of the 109th academy. I sit and reminisce of the days we spent at the academy in 1996. Trooper Poirier would keep us motivated.
