Bruce and I attended the 109th Police Academy in NH together in 1996. He was a great guy and loved his job as a Police Officer. He was my roommate who always offered his hand to help me or any brother/sister officer who needed it. On behalf of all the Officers from the "109", May god bless you, our fallen brother. May your daughter and family find comfort knowing that you are now in god’s hands and you will see them again someday. See you in the next life my friend. God bless!

We are so deeply saddened to learn of your tragic death. Law enforcement officers like you are the great equalizer when it comes to dealing with the evil of the world. We are eternally grateful for your service.

May you find the peace that you are so well deserved and may your family find strength.

I just wanted to point out that I had an encounter with Officer McKay last winter at the Lafayette Campground. My daughter and her boyfriend had gone down a snowmobile trail in his car because it looked like a road and they got stuck. They called me and I came up in my Jeep with studded snow tires and a tow rope. I was in the process of trying to pull them out. Officer McKay arrived on the scene and was wondering how they had gotten out to where they were (as was I). They had called AAA but they said they didn't know if they would be able to go there. Officer McKay was a good guy. He explained that because of the way they are organized that can happen around Franconia. Fortunately I was able to tow them out of the snow. Officer McKay stayed until we were safe. I really appreciate what he did for us that night.

I watched the video from Jan 03 today and I am disgusted by the way that Liko Kenney acted. It was a disgrace. I am really sorry that things ended up this way. Officer McKay should not have had to deal with an attitude like that. He should be alive today.

There are obviously people on this planet that are considered dirtbags. If there wasn't then People like CPL McKay wouldn't be needed. Police officers give up their weekends, holidays, nights, and basically every other day that could be considered special, so serve and protect their communities. Unfortunately we have to deal with losing a brother or sister at the hands of the very same dirtbags that we are sworn to protect. It strikes me as odd that there are people out there that would actually listen to, and believe the story of Bode Miller when he says that CPL McKay was in the wrong. Isn't this the same man who admitted to being drunk before big skiing events? Doesn't that speak to the type of character that he possesses? We will continue to do our jobs, and protect others when they need help. And hopefully when one of US need help there will be another brave citizen nearby to help us the way that we would help them. Thank you to the Marine who helped CPL McKay when he needed it, and thank you CPL McKay for helping all of the people you have helped over the years. We'll take it from here!

3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
4for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. romans 13:3,4 Rest in Peace brother

Daniel Webster said, "Men hang out their signs indicative of their respective trades... ...but in the mountains of New Hampshire, God Almighty has hung out a sign to show that there He makes men."

God didn't just make a good man in Corporal McKay- He made a great man.
