To Officer Buckman-Thank you for your dedication to your profession. Your sacrifice saved others and proved you were truely here to Protect and Serve.

As the wife of a Kansas Sheriff Deputy, the thought crosses my mind each and every storm watch, "what if he doesn't make it home tonight?" I never dreamed I would ever see it happen and hit so close to home. Your tragic accident brought a closeness to our family. Every goodbye could be the last...now, nothing is left unsaid, nothing is assumed.

Thank you for your sacrifice. God must be very proud to have you on board. Please watch over your brothers and sisters in blue. They can never have too many angels.

The true measure of a man is not the words he speaks but the actions he takes. You actions on that day speak volumes about the character of a man that was willing to lay down his life so that others may live. Sir, your family and friends had the honor of knowing a true hero.
