Reflections for Police Officer Robert Buckman

R.I.P. Thanks for making the world a better place.

Dear Officer Buckman,

What astounding bravery and courage. With no concern for your own safety, you faced one of Nature's most powerful tornadoes in an effort to assist those whom you swore to protect. I am in awe when I envision your determination as you raced to help others.

You ARE a hero and you will NEVER be forgotten. I pray that God's comforting arm will surround your family in this, most horrible of times.

In the face of danger, you stood courageously and in the thought that you might not make it back home you unselfishly took the call to try and save countless others. Rest in peace...

Another example of what our profession does that no other profession in the world can state. On every call made, there is a chance that we will save a life, take a life, or give a life. Officer Buckman has answered his calling and now goes 10-42 to serve at a greater and higher level, to great his family and us at a later time. God Bless Tim.

It is a blessing that we have men and women that will put on a uniform and do what others would say "no way" I am proud to say I wear a uniform because of officers like Robert. God bless.

Officer Buckman exemplifies our profession. He is the role model younger officers should look up to. Officers like him inspired me to enter this profession 35 years ago. Our prayers to his family at his loss and thanks to our Lord for letting him be at his daughters wedding, thatwas such a blessing for him and her.
