Although I have not seen David for many years, we were friends in high school. We were both in the the Air Force, but chose different paths. I always remembed him as a kind and caring person, always with the guick smile and a chuckle. I'am sorry that I put off trying to contact him to see how his life was. I have lost an old friend and a fellow brother.

I miss you David. Tuesdays will never be the same. You were the smiling face I looked forward to every week. I would go to work on Sunday, then Monday, and finally Tuesday would get there and you would come for coffee. It was the highlight of our week. No matter what our mood was when you came, it was a better day. I know you are still with us. Last Tuesday your commericial came on at 7:05, we knew it was a sign from you. I love you.

THERE IS ALWAYS A TIME IN OUR LIFE WHEN THE LORD CALLS SOMEONE TO COME HOME. IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT SACRAFICE TO LET GO AND ALLOW THEM TO GO HOME TO BE WITH THEIR MAKER. DAVID WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE KNID OF MAN THAT ALL MEN WOULD WANT TO BE LIKE. HE SERVED THE LORD THROUGH HIS EVERYDAY LIFE AND WAS PROUD TO GO HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD. WE WILL ALL MISS HIM BUT WE MUST REMEMBER HIS DESTINATION IS COMPLETE. OURS IS STILL YET TO COME. AND BESIDES HE NEVER GAVE ME A TICKET, BUT ALWAYS HAD A SMILE AND KIND WORD.

Donna, Aimee, and David (DJ), I want to thank you and God for sharing David with us at FPD. David was and will always be such an inspiration to me to live the life David did with Christ living in him. He touched lives while he was here on earth and the example he set continues to do so as he looks down on us from Heaven. I will never forget the love I saw in his eyes (smiling of course) he had for being a motor officer the day he asked me if I was interested in joining the guys in the traffic division. I will always remember sitting on Dave's motor at a game we were working together, and him letting me take his bike for a ride. We will all miss Dave's smile and big laugh that would cheer you up no matter how the day had been, but I know Dave is smiling, glowing, and more alive now in the arms of God than he has ever been. Dave, your tour of duty here is complete, your race is run, watch over us now until ours' is done and we meet at the pearly gates. May God bless and comfort your family and give them the peace that passes all understanding. Rest in peace brother Dave, I love you.

TO MY BOYS:
To all the guys affected by the loss of one of our own, I'm so proud of yesterday. You all looked awesome and everyone is proud of you for being strong and showing the community that we are a family and that you are unified. If I've learned anything through the loss of David, it's that you all put your lives on the line every day - and I'm proud of you for it, I thank you for it, and I pray for your safety. As a police officer's wife, I give my support and my gratitude - you are all truly heroic in your actions, your intentions, and your loyalty to your families, your community, and to one another.

TO DONNA:
You have given the ultimate sacrifice as an Officer's wife. I pray for you daily. You were beautiful yesterday, a perfect example to us all - David is proud of you.
