Judgment Day for a Police Officer

.....Author Unknown

The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, Policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?"

The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges
Can't always be a Saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my work was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep,
I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place
among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here, Lord
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was silence all around the Throne
Where the Saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

LISA YOU WILL BE MISSED AND I ASK OF YOU TO PLEASE BE OUR ANGEL FROM UP ABOVE AND WATCH OVER US FROM HEAVEN AS WE CONTINUE OUR DUTIES AS POLICE OFFICERS. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN OUR FAMILY'S PRAYERS.

OFFICER G. ALFARO

To the parents and friends of olice Officer Lisa Beauliu,
Memories are a gift from God to those left behind. They bring comfort, joy and laughter, and they enable Lisa to live forever in the hearts of those she loved. But along with the memories you expierence grief. Grief and pain are the price you have to pay for the love and total commitment you have for another person. The more you love, the more you are hurt when you lose the object of your love. Martin Luther wrote "Calamities hit saints and prophets, too ...to test and try their faith, love and patience. At a time like this we need to turn to our loving Lord. He gives us the strength to go on when we think we cannot. In the book of Isaiah we are told, "...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They wil soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Although you do not know me, nor will you probably ever meet me, I want you to know that you are in my prayers. You have much to be proud of for your daughter gave her all --- the ultimate price to serve the country she loved. Please know that I too appreciate her sacrifices and although no words could ever be sufficient, I want to say thank you for your daughter, her service, what she stood for and what she gave her life to protect. There is but one thing I could hope for you: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus".

In His Name,

My friend Lisa---where do I begin? I got to know you in the time we worked together in Dispatch there at Beaumont PD. We enjoyed talking to each other and working with each other. And even after I left Beaumont for other places any time I made it back to Beaumont for visits and ran into you, there you were with that huge smile and a GIANT hug for me everytime you saw me! My other friends on the force there always told me you asked regularly about me and how I was doing. God bless you for taking on that extra mile by becoming an officer and doing your best to help people and protect people! It truly is a calling to take on the responsibilities and dangers of that of a Police Officer and you not only met that headon but with that beautiful smile of yours on your face all the time and with great enthusiasm and expectations of helping others. Your sacrifice and dedication will not be forgotten by your family, friends and family of blue. I will miss you, that smile and most of all those bear hugs and your joy at seeing me each time our paths crossed. Rest in peace my friend, you have earned your watch in Heaven!

To Lisa's parents, family, and her family of blue at the Beaumont Police department my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. I have not forgotten my days of working dispatch there and the wonderful friends I made and still have and the family I still have there. May you find comfort and peace in this time and know that you are not alone!

God bless you all and I love you!

Lisa, my spirit dampened when I received the phone call about you this morning. You and I worked at Kountze PD for a while, then both moved onto to work at Beaumont PD. You made a great partner and cop. Your disposition is unmatched. Even though we have not talked in a while, you will me missed by me. The other day while I was back in Beaumont, I saw you and a couple of other BPD officers at IHOP and I knew that I should have approached yall and said something. But you know how us cops are, leave me alone on chow break! Now I regret not saying anything to yall. Your family will be prayed for. Thank you for being a friend and partner! May God's Blessings Continue!
