Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Lisa Renee Ligda-Beaulieu

"Guardian Angel"
Archangel Michael, patron saint of law enforcement officers
You have called into service
One very special police officer from
The Beaumont Police Department
Officer Lisa Beaulieu
She was a woman respected and loved very much
Lisa, will make one of your finest recruits
She was a very special woman with a warm heart and a caring soul.

And on Friday, April 27,2007
Lisa, was called to join you
And serve at the Lords right hand
Her uniform still has the silver Officer’s Badge on her chest
Added are silver wings and a Golden halo around her head
She no longer patrols the streets of Beaumont
Her new assignment is to watch over and protect
Her family, friends and fellow officers from harm
And give them guidance whenever she can
Yes, on that day Lisa Beaulie was promoted to “Guardian Angel”
To watch over and guide us in her own special way
Even though we all miss her greatly and the loss is great
We must remember:
Lisa is never really too far away
She is as near as the memories we hold of her in our hearts.

Although I did not know you, I feel great sadness for your family and the Law Enforcement community. I have heard so many wonderful things about you and how great a police officer you were. I know this makes your family proud. I am just a dispatcher, however I see all officers as my "other" family. I saw all of your beautiful pictures at the funeral home and you definatley had a "beautiful" smile that I know will be greatly missed, but you will not be forgotten! You now walk the streets of gold and watch over your fellow officers. Rest In Peace Ofc Beaulieu

My dad and I were hit by a drunk driver when I was 10. The drunk came over the curb and hit us while we were still parked. My dad had already put on his seat belt and I was still in the process of doing it. I was lucky, since I had the seatbelt over my shoulder, it actually saved me from going through the windshield. A 4 inch scar is my daily reminder of how lucky I was. My heart goes out to the family of Officer Beaulieu. Your life was cut too short and now the people of Beaumont lost a great officer whose potential will never be known.

Lisa, today was your funeral and many officers, family and friends from all around came to say good-bye. It was beautiful and you would have been proud. Citizens had put up pink ribbons for you from Beaumont to your resting place miles away. I miss you Lisa. Thank you for being my friend at work and away. I am very proud to have worked with you. You always listened and cared. I miss your smile, your laugh and the bold way you spoke. We're not the same without you yet I know we must go on. I know I'm a better officer and a person for having known you. You asked me the other day to pray for you. I will always pray for you Lisa and I will never forget you. I love and miss you dearly. Go decorate your new home with your laughter and your smile for it will be a better place for us all. May God bless you Lisa and keep your family safe for I know you will be our guardian angel.

Lisa,

Your leaving this earth has left a whole in my heart. We shared a common bond, A love for animals. I will miss knowing that you were one that I could always count on when I needed help with an animal problem, and chances are, when I was called to assist the police with an animal problem, it was useually you there waiting for me. May you reast in peace.

I have been in Law Enforcement for 8 years. Of those 8 years I worked the road for 7 years. I always made my best efforts to go to the passenger side of vehicles while conducting my traffic stops for safety. I am taken by surprise that this officer was still struck by a vehicle. I guess we all make that sacerfice when we swear to uphold the law. My condolences go out to everyone who knew this officer, I am sadden to hear she made the right moves but still was killed. God speed

"Small World" indeed. Saturday, one of my officers received a telephone call from Orange, Texas with the sad news. The death of Officer Beaulieu had already had a major impact upon the surrounding communities adjacent to Beaumont. I will include the Family and Friends of Officer Beaulieu in my prayers. May She Rest-In-Peace.
