A couple of us at our port heard about your passing today and immediately ran out to make sure our flags were at half staff. We spoke of our agency's in the line of duty numbers seeming to be climbing. It is tough to bear the thought of yet another fallen family member. As we move forward, may we be stronger and more diligent than ever by virtue of your example. We will honor your service and sacrafice.

God bless you and your family brother.

it doesn't seem real. i can still go back to mrs. sportsman's daycare and remember clint and i playing together. my parnents owned a childrens store on main called the peppermint fence and clint was in one of the easter ads one yr. he was there in school at montgomery elem. when i sat in the fire ant bed too. clint also had a special place in my heart. i remember when i came back to henderson for college i met clint at the airport, we went flying, and i'll never forget he buzzed some cows. the farmer was shaking his fist at us. we talked about that for months. you could tell he loved to fly. my dad has the same look when he flies his little plane. i always wondered what he was up to. i always moved away. i'm married to a police officer in sumter, sc. we lost a friend 2yrs ago- john parker of the highway patrol. these guys go out there everyday loving what they do, doing there dream jobs knowing there are always risks. clint was a special friend and i wish we kept in touch better. it's always to late when you relize to call to say hello. tomarrow at chruch i will put clint's name in my bible where i have loved one's names. the empty feeling of looseing a friend is a strange thing. jane, buck, brent, rachelle, and the girls i will be praying for you. it will be hard, but just remember you will see him again in heaven. just like i will see our daughter we lost 8yrs ago. amy summerford-stiles. sumter, sc

To the Thrasher Family and the extended law enforcement family at the US Department of Homeland Security - Customs and Borders,

I wanted to express my deepest and heart felt sympothies to Agent Thrasher's family and his Department.

For when one of us in Law Enforcement is lost, we as a Law Enforcement community feel it as a whole.

This was a message left on the hood of our Lieutenant's patrol vehicle after he was taken from us by a drunken driver a few weeks ago.

...And when we lay down our nightsticks, Enroll us in your Heavenly Force, Where we will be proud to Guard the Throne of God as we have been to guard the city of man!

Rest in Peace Agent Thrasher, We'll take it from here.

“To Serve And Protect From The Air"
That is the motto of the Airborne Law Enforcement Association.

To the Family and Friends of Agent Clinton Thrasher, the Aerial Law Enforcement Community has lost a beloved brother pilot, and law enforcement officer in the performance of his duties this day. Law Enforcement Pilots are a special breed. We know and accept the risks because our abilities are so very necessary in the success of the law enforcement mission. Know that Clinton Thrasher departed us doing what he loved; being a pilot, and law a enforcement officer. We have the best of both worlds.
We all feel a tremendous sense of loss when one of our brothers doesn’t come home at the end of the shift. For this, we grieve.
God Speed Clinton Thrasher, we’ll meet up in formation over that next cloud one day...

In the midnight's cold dew
Thoughts bring me back to you
For I have fallen to the smugglers blade
It is my time as life begins to fade.

I walk in a your shadow of gold and blue
I tried my best did all I could do
The salt on my tongue
Memories of your shield when I was so young

Lay me down with pipes calling me home
When you find me pale face all alone
Place the Ensign over my chest
Hold back you tears I have done my best

Tell my son to carry the light I shined
It was in our blood blue and gold enshrined
Remember me with my fathers shield
To righteous we both have kneeled

What has life been but complete for me
For I have faced evil in the land air and sea
Wore my fathers shield and carried his burden
Chased the smuggler I have imprisoned

Sweat and blood for I gave it my all
Now all alone my time I am called
For I have faced the evils we fight
It is the end of my watch tonight

Rest my brother!

May God be with the Thrasher family during these difficult times.

I had the privilege to work with Clint while he was stationed in Puerto Rico. I know that I can speak for the rest of the boat guys when I say that Clint was an amazing co-worker and Friend. He diligently flew the skies over us while we combed the seas laying in wait for our adversaries. When he flew we always felt sure that if there was anyone trying to get past us, he would find them. When he did find something, he would say, "Okay guys, I think I have something for you..." Sure enough there it was! I gave him a boat ride once and I remember him telling me that my job was very difficult and that he understood why we needed him in the air. His comment shows how truly devoted he was. I know that he will look down on us now, just as he did before

I miss you very dearly and will carry your memory with me until we meet again my friend. FLY ON BROTHER.....
