Reflections for Trooper David Brinkerhoff

Dave - May the angels carry you with honor as you enter your eternal rest and may the good Lord greet you with open arms. You have made the ultimate sacrifice and may your wife and daughter find solace in knowing that you died proudly doing what you were put here on earth to do. We all have a mission in life and when we complete that mission God sends his angels to come and take us home. May you rest in peace my brother and may God grant your family, friends and "brothers in gray" the strength to carry on.

David...As you are laid to rest today, I would like to Thank-you and the rest of the NYSP for the sacrifices you make a daily basis for our community. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family, friends, co-workers, and everyone you touched in your "short" life. It was only eight-short months ago that I lost a dear friend of the NYSP to a tradgedy like yours, so I must say the politicians in the State of New York must take a stand reinstate the dealth penalty on behalf of our police enforcement! God Bless you and your loved ones and may you now "Rest In Peace".

Trooper Brinkerhoff, You sir are indeed one of the bravest! Your sacrifice will never be forgotten! As your daughter grows up she will see that her dad stood for justice and all that is good. My prayers are with you and your family. Please know that your family has extended family that reaches outside the state of New York.
