Drew,
I miss you. Friday was bad, it is funny how simple things can bring the flood of memories back. He made me cry Friday night, I haven't cried at work since right after you were gone, and he brought me to tears. Then, now, again. It snowed Saturday, it was so peaceful and quite. Soft and still. You would have thought it crazy for spring, you know you would. Me.

Drew, The rain tonight breaks my heart, along with the cold of the day. I miss you. I need you. I know you walk with us, and help find the light in the darkness. Watch over me, all of us.

Drew, the wintry night tonight is filled with snowflakes and my thoughts are of you, with the angels in Heaven. Just wanted you to know you are always in our hearts and I will say a special prayer for the safety of your brother and sister officers working the streets of Irving on this snowy night. Keep them safe!

My Brother

I'm driving home after working late tonight with a heavy heart. There are no words my brother. I miss you so much much and I am so proud of you. I find comfort knowing that you are walking with angels. I love you and continue to watch over us.

It's been two years, but it still feels so unreal sometimes. I think of you and the others often. Rest in peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I hold your family in my thoughts and prayers today. You are loved and missed by so many.

Thinking of you and all of your loved ones as the 2nd anniversary of you being called away from duty approaches. I know each day is a struggle to get through for all of those that love you dearly. I would like to leave this short poem for you and your loved ones. You will never be forgotten.

No person is ever truly alone.
Those who live no more,
Whom we loved,
Echo still within our thoughts,
Our words, our hearts.
And what they did,
And who they were,
Becomes a part of all that we are,
Forever.

Poem by Richard Fife.

Drew,
Thanks for looking down on us, keeping an eye for me. Giving me strength when I have been weak. It has been a tough past couple of weeks, self doubt, the doubt of what we stand for, integrity and honor. I know you have been here, leading the way from darkness. I miss you, we all. Your “B” shift night boys have been kicking our butts. Some of them went to days, including your brother in-law. Keep watch, keep faith.

I was up late working on a speech to honor a brother officer for our awards banquet...The words I began writing reminded my of Andy and here I am. I wanted to let Ralph and the Esparza family know that we will never forget and "Fear not for I am with you"

Thank you and God Bless,
Graham
