To the family, friends, coworkers,
I know your pain, I feel your loss, this brother of mine will not be forgotten. I may be across the country but every death rings to the core of every Officer and Deputy. We are ALL here for you. You are all in my prayers.

To Officer Clark,
Rest My Brother, We Will Take It From Here....

"My Brother"

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was idealistic and believed he could make a difference.
He was immensely proud of the uniform and the badge and what they represent. He felt privileged to be of service to his department, his community and to his country.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was friendly, courteous, and polite, yet firm.
He laughed and joked, but was serious when necessary.
He was competent, trained, and professional.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He had a strong sense of right and wrong and became
frustrated when true justice became sidetracked.
He felt the sharp criticism that goes with the job, but he
never wavered. He stood by and for his fellow officers.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He longed for his family during the long hours. He worried about them during his shifts and the lonely weekends, holidays and midnights when they were apart. He felt guilty about the lost time, but knew his calling and prayed they would understand.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was a good son, a loving husband, and a devoted father.
He was dedicated to the profession and cared about the
people he served. He wanted to do the best job that he could and strived to be the best he could be.
He was a good citizen and a good neighbor.

He was a cop.

Yes, I did know him.
He was a cop, he was my Brother.

Be With Me

Be with me, God, when I'm happy
And all of my skies are blue;
Don't let me take life for granted
But for ever be thankful to You.

Be with me, God, when I'm sad
And my heart is filled with pain;
Help me to always remember
I'll walk in the sunshine again.

Be with me, God, when I wander
Away from the path I should tread;
Gently guide me home once more,
Only You knows what lies ahead.

Be with me, God, for all of the years
Safe in your loving care.
I'll not let my faith ever waver
For I know You will always be there.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the friends and families of these officers. Please know that the Queen City is weeping; she is in mourning with you. You are in my prayers.

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

I met Officer Sean Clark through his work with Southern Real Estate. He was assigned to work with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte Building where I worked with Catholic Social Services. Sean was always friendly, nice and an extreme pleasure to know. He often talked of his wife and family. I and many of my coworkers have the Clark family in our thoughts and prayers. You, Sean's family, should be very proud of Sean and the way he treated each person with respect. He touched many lives without even knowing he had done so. May you find peace in knowing that many people loved and respected Sean and will miss him greatly.

My heart goes out to the family, friends and fellow officers of Officer Sean Clark. I feel your pain. I was with Officer Bryan Hurst when he was killed. We don't know why God does what he does but it is all part of the plan. Someday, Sean will tell us why.
To you Officer Clark THANK YOU for your service. Your actions and dedication will never be forgotten. Your brothers and sisters will take your watch from here. Rest in peace.

Fear Not Friends They Are Now Home,

I Have Summoned Them To My Thrown.

For Your Emptyness On Earth Is Puzzeling,

May Their Presence Here In Heaven Be Comforting.

Their Earthly Journey and Worries Were Put To Rest.

Their Ultimate Sacrifice Was Their Last Test.

Now Donning Wings To Spred and Soar

and Be An Angel For So Many More.

Greive Shortly Of Their Bodily Loss,

But Know They Are Here With Me,

With Wings From The Cross.

The Holy Spirit inspired me to write this. I do not need credit for these words, but give onto the Lord the glory. For he has made it possible for our brothers to be in a better place. A place we all have the opportunity to end up if we make the right choice. God speed brothers, keep a watch over your families, friends and the community you served. Help them to comfort eachother and enlighten them on the power of the Lord our God. Help guide us in the many decisions we need to make to ensure safety to those we protect and as long as the Lord allows, let us make it home safe to our family and friends. We will keep fond memories and continue to live, serve and love. When it is our time to join you, greet us at the Gates and we will gladly take our final assignment. Until we meet again, brothers, God Bless.
