When I was in the 4th grade ( I am now 19), Danny became my step-brother, From that moment on I had someone who was always caring, accepting, and was always getting me out of trouble! haha. Danny was an awsome guy and there is nothing I can say about him that you don't already know. All I can say is what an honor it is to call him my brother!! Our family has suffered a huge loss and will have a huge void that no one can ever fill. Danny was a one of a kind, He loved Alice more then the world, and to Kirstin and Morgan, you know your dad loved you and would give the world for you!!

Thank you Danny for being a wonderful brother, husband, and son!!! You are a hero and your memories will live in our hearts forever!!

Danny,

When I worked at SMILES, it was an honor to see any member of the FSPD to walk into the store, but especially you. You always had on a smile and always gave me a good laugh telling me a story or joking around with your buds.

But remember in the mind of every single person in existence, you died a hero and NOTHING can change that. We are all proud of you and your sacrifices made, not just to yourself, or your community, but especially to your family.

It was an honor to have known you and I sit here proudly today knowing others just like you are proudly protecting us throughout the world.

God bless you, your wife, and your children, as well as the rest of your family. We have lost one of the world's greatest people to ever live.

To the family of Danny Martinez, I never had the chance to meet Danny, however my husband new him well. This is very sad tragedy that hurts me dearly. I can't imagine what you are going through. My husband is a deputy for the LeFlore County Sheriff's dept. and I worry about him all the time. Although I didn't know Danny I mourn for him and the family. He was my brother in blue. I regret that I had to work because I wanted to make it to his funerals. Danny, you and your family will be in mine and my family's thoughts a prayers. Jerimy Emmert misses you dearly.

My husband worked with danny for several years. The police community is a brotherhood, and we have lost one of our own. Everyday these officers put their lives on the line for their communities. Danny was doing just that, helping a mother retrieve her child. "Greater Love Hath No Man Than This That He Lay Down His Life For His Fellow Man." To morgan and kirsten always know that your dad is a true hero. To the rest of the Martinez family, my thoughts and prayers are always with you.

To Mrs. Martinez and children , Thank you for sharing Danny's life with us. To his parents, Thank you for the fine young you raised. To our law enforcement family, you have stood strong and steady in the face of an overwhelming loss and Danny would be so proud of the way you have stood with his family and each other. Thank you Danny for your complete love and dedication to your calling to protect and serve others. You gave the ulimate sacrifice. In Psalm 23 it says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son... You loved so much that you gave the greatest gift you had, your own life. God tells us of all the gifts he gives us, the greatest is love. He tells us to love one another as He loves us and Danny you did just that and now you have stayed the couse completed your watch and God has welcomed you home. Our tears are for ourselves because we miss you but forever we will never forget you. God Bless and keep us all during this loss of one of our family.

To the family, friends, coworkers and all who love Danny, I was notified late Sunday evening that Danny was killed. I am so sorry for your loss. Danny was one of the most loving, caring and respectful men that I have ever known. I attended high school with Danny and then I was given the privlege to deal work with him on several occassions. "The ultimate sacrifice"...those words still ring in our ears following the touching memorial service for Daniel Martinez. The tribute underlined his impeccable character, unlimited commitment, and loyalty to duty. Even those who never met him have now been touched by his life. Our prayers for his wife and children shall continue. God reminds us that He has identified with our grief and loss when His Own Son died on the cross and made "the ultimate sacrifice of his life" for the sins of the world, John 3:16. HE CARES!

Words are but a mere fraction of the feelings that we are all experiencing at this time. You have touched the hearts of so many people and brought an entire community closer together with your unselfishness and desire to serve. You have proven that heroes do exist, and that police officers are born, not made. Thank you for reminding us that simple fact.
My prayers are with your brothers in law enforcement, friends, family and espically with Alice and the children. May you rest in peace.

To the family, children, friends and fellow officers of Danny Martinez. What craziness, this does not make sense when someone tries, gives his life and future only trying to make a difference in the world. May the peace of God be with you all. Your husband, Mrs Martinez is a true hero. To all officers-be safe, God Bless and take care.
