Thinking about you today. Through your passing I have got to meet and make friends with some of your family. You were so loved and now terribly missed but I do know you are not forgotten. You would be proud at how your friends and family honor and remember you.

You were the only that had faith in the short kid when you coached me in poteau parc #32 A.j Martinez 3rd and 4th grade cowboys you made me a legend in the parc in my 2 year which would be 4th grade against the white and black team patriots I made every tackle I made every yard of offense and touch downs and I made them never gain one yard. I did it all through the same hole and you had me plying nosegaurd your help moved me to a perfect game. Thank you I'll always love you Coach Martinez.

Danny although my thoughts are being posted here a day after the tenth year after your death, I can assure you that you are not forgotten. I think of you daily, sometimes several times a day You are a hero and I do mean a HERO ! You.undubtedly saved several lives the night you gave your life to protect and save the lives of the other innocent people at that house. I will undoubtedly regret for the rest of my life not getting to you quicker than I did ! I don't know if I had gotten there sooner if it would have made a difference, but Billy, who was driving right in front of me me and I promise you we we going as fast as possible but that wasn't fast enough ! You will never be forgotten and will always be a HERO ! Rest in peace my brother !

Danny, it's hard to believe it's been 8 years already. It seems like just yesterday, and not a day goes by that I don't think of you. You must be pleased to know how many lives you have touched since that fateful day that you made the ultimate sacrifice. Your tour of duty is over, but you will never be forgotten. Rest well, my friend.

Danny, where does the time go? 7 years that is so hard to believe. Seems like a short time ago that your law enforcement family received news of your shooting. We were all devastated and hoping it was just a dream, but of course it wasn't. You are missed terribly by your friends and loved ones. Please keep watch over the rest of us left behind to continue the service and keep us safe in the job we do. If you don't want to nudge us if we are slacking, I know Dustin will be right there to do that for us because he was all about the aggravation of his friends. We miss you and loved you alot.

Officer Mary King
Heavener Police Department

June 19, 2014

Danny, although I didn't get to you soon enough that night, but I really tried. I just didn't make it. Had I or someone else been there just a little sooner things might have been different. I at least hope you know that I was with you moments after the shooting and couldn't do anything to help you. I also hope you knew you weren't alone. You are a hero, RIP.
