Cpl. Nix, Sir, I am very blessed knowing that HEROES such as yourself are willing to do the work that you did. First, you protected and served this great country given to us by our great God. Then you protected and served the city of Dallas. Then, you made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you HERO, we will never forget! To the Nix family, I will pray that God's grace will be more than sufficient to get you all through this very painful time. Thank you for giving Mark to all of us. To the family at DPD, I will pray for you all as you continue the watch. I thank all of you for your willingness to protect and serve. Romans 113:!

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13) Sadly, only in death do we recognize the true meaning of how one has lived his life. The memory of this warrior shall live on forever in the hearts of his family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers.

"A MAN IN BLUE"

A man in blue has lost his life in service of law.
The love that makes this sacrifices the greatest love of all.
A Police man was killed today, the reason I cannot say.
I don't know why he had to die.
The man in blue died for me and you;
we must remember him too.
Flags fly low, let use bow in prayer
for fallen police men everywhere;
and remember this: that they are missed.
The badge burns bright like an evening star
free from a world of war.

Mark,

I didn't know you personally, but as a fellow brother in blue, today I stood next to my agency comrades who knew you and had fun with you. The sadness in their eyes was pitiful. To hear of the senseless loss of your life was on everyones mind today as we qualified at the range. Your buddies did great.

We are all very proud of you, and those who knew you personally will never forget the fun times, the sad times, the duty times. You answered the last call to help protect the citizens you swore to protect. Today, you are an angel in Gods Kingdom...Brother you take care and know you will never be forgotten, not here, not ever....

Prayers and sincerest condolences to your family and every member of the Dallas Police Department,,,
