To the family and loved ones of Trooper Todd Holmes and his fellow officers with the Texas Highway Patrol:

On behalf of our family, I want to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Trooper Holmes was tragically killed in the line of duty. His valor and dedication will never be forgotten.

In reading the loving reflections left by family and friends, it is obvious that Todd was an amazing young man who touched many lives in a positive way. I can see that he is so loved and will be missed by so many.

The circumstances of his death were heart breaking and I know caused much anquish for all those affected.
To Todd's parents, I share your agony in losing a cherished child and know that the lives of everyone who called him beloved have been forever changed. To his wife and child, I pray that you find comfort in your faith, your family and friends as you struggle with this devastating loss. May you be embraced by your law enforcement family and other police survivors who share this journey with you.

May Todd's spirit continue to soar and his memory continue to inspire. May God hold Todd and his family in the warmest part of his heart and the most gentle part of his soul. Heaven has another hero today, but how I wish it were not your Todd.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the unselfish and distinquished service Todd gave to his community and the citizens of Texas, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 14, 2007.

Trooper Holmes,
Thank you for the service you gave to the great state of TX. My first husband was also killed when he was struck by a tractor trailer while on a vehicle stop. My heart breaks for your family, friends & co-workers. I pray the Lord will wrap his loving arms around them & carry them as they begin this "oh so difficult journey". I pray that they will one day find peace. It doesn't get easier, you just learn to deal with it better with time. God Bless You Trooper!

Brother Todd, even though you are no longer here on earth with us, I know your with your Lord in heaven. Although we never met, we are brothers in Christ. I know we will meet in the kingdom one day.
