Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and twelth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

It has been 100 years or so since this incident and I have been to your memorial today. It shows how great law enforcement botherhood is as 100 years later the members of this department has honored their fallen hereo from so long ago. Rest in peace Marshall Weiss, and stand with honor with your department for so many years later the honor they have shown to you this day with the memorial they have done for you!
