I am sad and at the same time very happy to see your name added to the memorial. I was afraid your actions might not be recognized as fitting the criteria.

You showed tremendous courage in making a split-second decision to take action - action I am sure prevented harm to friends and strangers alike in the restaurant.

I just read about this in the news. I do not know Sheriff Daniel Browne Sanchez. But I would like to offer my condolences to his precinct and his family. His actions were extremely heroic.

God bless you Deputy Sheriff Browne-Sanchez. You are a true hereo in every sence of the word. You probably saved some lives by your actions. I am sure someone out there will probably second guess your actions. Those few do not realize that becuase you are "off duty" an officer is never really "off duty". Rest easy now.
