Your heroism and service is honored today, the 105th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

It is very heart warming to see Robert's story on this memorial page. Seeing his story in print helps to make Robert a person rather than a name on a roster, or a census record.

Many thanks to Chris for his hard work and persistance at gathering information and putting together such an honorable website.

The descendents of Robert and of all the other fallen officers thank you for your work.

Great, great granddaughter of Robert

It has taken over 101 years, but you are finally being honored. I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Buckingham County.

Deputy Murphy. To paraphrase the old hymn, you once were lost, but now you’re found, we were blind but now we see. You are no longer forgotten. Rest in peace.

Many years have passed and you are now remembered for giving you life. Thank you for serving the citizens of Buckingham County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
